"A graduate from Natal University's School of Architecture has been enthroned as the 36th ruler of the 800-year-old Bafokeng Kingdom at the Royal Palace of Logato. KingLeruo Tshekedi Molotlegi says he will use his reign to implement Vision 2020, an economic programme that aims to use the tribe's mineral wealth to ensure it becomes self-sufficient by 2020.

"The coronation symbolises new leadership, new ideas and a new era. It also symbolises the uniting of the people behind the leadership," said King Leruo.

"I like to see my enthronement as an event that will unite my people behind a common vision, namely, that of Vision 2020. This is a vision for self-sustainability."

The 300 000-strong Bafokeng ("People of the Dew") kingdom is located on the world's second-largest platinum reef, located some 150 Km northwest of Johannesburg." - ArchitectAfrica
