Over 100 African American men and women were tortured by white Chicago police officers and forced into giving confessions under former Commander Jon Burge.

These memorial projects will serve as a public reckoning with police torture in Chicago and honor those who fought to stop it.

We aim to make visible the social and political conditions that made torture possible, as well as the acts of courage that ended—or at least brought to light—the culture of impunity that thwarted justice for so long in this instance.

Though europeans have renamed eras and many other items with regard to global majority history. We will simply adhere to the european timeline and not label the eras. Our focus is on who was in power at the time, what our location was, and the various details with regard to our style of architecture (culture, traditions, lifestyle, etc.)

There are 3 main time periods before the rape, ravage and destruction commenced by the foreigners. Any architecture beyond that point is considered soulless - as its builders did not do so out of free will but out of fear and force. That architecture which is called colonial architecture is synonymous with oppressive architecture as it symbolizes massive trophies celebrating the death of millions of innocent peoples. (bear in mind this is our opinion not yours) Let it be known also that all life started in africa and this is important because the olmecs share the same features and linguistics as west africans.
